The 2011 Collection

Blair Anderson, Metalsmith

We all have stories to tell.

As an artist, I can't seem to escape telling

stories in my work. Adornment can represent

social status, or wealth, but it can also reflect the life experiences of the wearer.

My work strives to create objects that embody a meaning that is deeply held by the wearer. Whether it is personal, political, or humorous, my hope is that each one of the works that I create strikes a chord within the soul.

This collection takes its inspiration from the Japanese philosophy of the five elements, Earth, Fire, Water, Wind,

and Essence.
