leah rosen, studio artist, instructor

Leah Rosen

The daughter of an artist, Leah’s always had a passion for the creative process. From a young age, she could be found exploring various art forms including ceramics, stained glass, crochet, fused glass, mosaics, jewelry design, and photography.

Leah gravitates to textures and color in her pieces, combining various techniques she has learned over the years. Unafraid to explore and try new things she describes herself as someone who likes to play with fire and color outside the lines.

Forming copper bowls, small and large, is great fun for her but the real delight comes from adding color to her designs, through flame or the kiln. She loves using the torch to expose the beautiful colors that can be achieved through heating copper. And if you catch her in Studio 2 you can see how adding enamel completely transforms her pieces in unexpected ways.

Leah started taking classes at SilverWorks in 2015 and has been hooked ever since. Being a part of the SilverWorks community feeds her love for learning and sharing her knowledge with others.

When not in the studio on the weekends, you’ll find Leah exploring nature with her dogs or eating sushi.
