Making earwires
Although mass produced earwires are a time saver, they just don’t have the look of ones you make yourself.
1.Start with 2 sections of two inch 20 gauge wire.
2.Using needle-nose pliers make a loop in each wire.
3.Using flat-nose pliers bend at the end of the loop.
4.Shape a hook with a slight flare.
5.Using the flat head of a ball-peen hammer, flatten the back of the hook’s curve.
6.Polish on wheel, paying attention to smoothing the ends (for comfortable wear).
7. These can now be tumbled to harden.
