If you choose, your project(s) may be enhanced further with the addition of a facetted stone in a prong setting or a step bezel. Learn the many uses of the flex-shaft to finish your project. Oxidation of a design will be demonstrated. The next step on your creative journey. Must have completed Beginning Silversmithing or the equivalent. Minimum age 13.

This ring is an example of two techniques combined. Creating a Step Bezel for a faceted stone, and Applique.

What we will be making:

Pierced Projects: Pendant, Ring, Bracelet, or Earrings. (Students choice). The number of projects you complete will depend on the complexity of design you choose.


Two techniques: Open Back Piercing and/or Applique (pierced design soldered to a back to create a relief design.)


Main tools we will use:

Saw, Torch, Pen Plater (for gold accents)


Bring a design you would like to tackle or use one provided by the instructor.
