Rays of sunlight seem to be depicted in this piece as if one is squinting into the sun viewing splashes of motion and reflection.

Here Comes The Sun was a direct trigger. At :52 and at 1:34 the image that I saw was what hit the paper in sketch form and then was closely executed using a pyrite druzy.


One note is that a piece of music with lyrics often prejudice the design because the words can misdirect the mind from a pure visual flash to something representational in the lyrics (like “the sun”).
