Trial by Fire

This piece is a play on a technique called Makume Gane. But instead of taking it to its most refined form I chose to create an organized chaos in this design.

  1. 1.Staging for a tack-solder and then fusion of the Sterling, Brass, and Copper.

  2. 2.The fusion.

  3. 3.Rolled, drilled cut, and now pierced with the jeweler’s saw.

  4. 4.Rolled on the rolling mill.

  5. 5.Forming into the bracelet shape.

  6. 6.A final torching.
